One of the best parts of going down to Mesa for my grandpa's funeral was all the quality time I got to spend with my siblings/nieces and nephews. Usually when we go down we are so busy trying to hit our favorite stores, restaurants, and friends, but this time we had no agenda other than to hang out at my parents house.
Friday night after the viewing we had Shawnie's niece come stay with all the kids while we went to Chili's and enjoyed a nice, kid-free meal. Saturday afternoon after the funeral/cemetery/luncheon all the grandkids were able to go over to my grandparents house and pick out momentos to keep. It was a little disheartening to see the house go from how we had always seen it, to bare walls so quickly, but it was necessary since so many of us live far away.

| Hallie and Tai brought matching dresses without even coordinating it. |
| The kids all ganged up on Uncle Ike |
| Saturday night my parents band played at a block party, so we all went and the kids had a blast (Kamryn got higher this time)(and higher than Jaxson) |
| (Hallie was soooo close to the top this time!) |
| It was good to see my parents let loose after such a long, emotional day |
| Fin and Addi had fun dancing to the music |
| They had a little train that was pulled behind a four wheeler...the kids thought it was so fun. |
Sunday morning we just hung out (it was the dedication of the Phoenix temple, so my parents didn't have church that day and we decided to play hooky from the broadcast since only Hallie would be able to attend) and then we had Sunday dinner together at lunch time before we had to leave to drive home. That was probably one of my favorite times all weekend. We haven't had Sunday dinner all together in I don't know how long-years and years? We laughed and laughed over old memories of the Cherry St. house, our old pets, old arguments over whose turn it was to clean up dinner, etc.
I love my family!
