Thanksgiving in Mesa

We went back to Mesa for Thanksgiving and enjoyed super warm temperatures.

One night all the kids helped Isaac clean his room. He even paid them decent wages! These two found some of his sunglasses. The kids love to play/bother Uncle Ike.

Vera snuggled up to Wes one night before bed time.

I made all the rolls for the crowd at my moms house-150, give or take a few! It was a lot of work...but thankful for Wes's help in rolling them out for me!

The day was warm and sunny. We all wore our 49ers gear since they were playing that day. The kids had fun playing in the backyard and around the  house while the adults hurried to get everything made and ready for the 60 people coming over.

This is what Thanksgiving in Mesa looks like! (Quite a bit different than how it's usually done here.)
Grandpa holding a tired Addi

This girl was sick/teething/tired most of the trip and slept terrible which is very unlike her. She ended up in our bed every night, kicking and playing and talking...

We played football in the afternoon instead of a nap

Kamryn, Jaxson, and Fin all shared a room while we were there. They would turn on cartoons early in the morning when they woke up

Friday was Hallie's 9th birthday! I did a little shopping early in the morning, then we went to my cousin's sealing in the Mesa temple, and then we took the kids to Amazing Jakes. We opted to leave Kimber with my mom and took Finley instead. The kids had so much fun!

That night we had all the family over for ice cream cake and presents. Hallie got a bike, some dresses, and lots of fun crafty things to make.

She was in heaven having so many of her favorite people there.
Saturday morning we went over to my Grandpa's house and picked up a couple of dressers to take back home with us. It was perfect timing, because the drawers on Addi's dresser at home had just fallen apart.

It was sad to see the house without all of the momentos/artwork/etc that I'm used to seeing.

Saturday afternoon we got to see Wes's cousin, Natalie, who's been sick in the hospital for several weeks. We had my cousins kids, Janie and Emma babysit, so we could go alone. Kamryn is obsessed with Emma. It was good to visit with Natalie-she is so much fun to be around and is always happy, no matter the circumstances.

We had a great time in Mesa, even though Wes wasn't feeling good for part of it, but it was nice to get home too. I was able to kickstart my Christmas shopping down there, which is always nice. This year is supposed to be a Jones Christmas, but since my in-laws are on their mission, none of Wes's siblings are coming here. We are planning on having a nice, quiet Christmas. And after the crazy December it's been thus far, that sounds heavenly.
