We had a blast telling people to go look in the backyard. Whisky looked so out of place, but Hallie and Tai had fun playing with the goat. I think my brother Luke's reaction was the best, "What the freak is that?!"
We took Whisky back to Gallup and he thoroughly enjoyed the females ...for a full week. Wes went out to feed about a week after we got back from Christmas and Whisky was dead. :( We don't know what happened. We don't know if the lady who sold us the goat did so knowing that he was sick. Wes emailed the lady to let her know what happened, and she never wrote back. So, we are buckless once again, and hoping that Whisky did his job in the short time he was with us. RIP Whisky.

Don't worry, Mikelle. I heard that all goats go to heaven...
sad story....i don't think i was ever told that he died...or i don't remember...anyway...sad..but your blog entry about it is too funny...i know it's supposed to be a moment for silence, but i laughed really hard after reading it. i'm sure there is a special place for whisky the goat somewhere in....ummm....goat heaven.
p.s. hopefully he really did do his job!!
i'm not really that sad about it..i just wish we hadn't spent 50 bucks for nothing! (i don't get attached to animals) and now wes still wants another goat...
okay, I'm a little lost here. Why in the world do you have goats to begin with? Is wes a farmer? :) What does he do?
HAHA, Lindsay. Wes is NOT a farmer, although he would like to be. He just loves animals, and goats are his favorite, so we have a few. The little money we make off of selling them goes to our kids savings accounts.
He really works with his dad at his dad's business ( manufactured houses).
What a way to die!!! What male any species wouldn't love that it be their last week!
