Mesa in March

A couple of weeks ago we went down to Mesa for the funeral of Uncle Jack, my mother-in-law's uncle. We were able to fit in a few fun things while we were there.

Friday night I met up with my good friend Janae and her sweet baby. We hit up Old Navy where I scored a couple of deals and then we grabbed some frozen yogurt and talked while sitting outside. The weather was gorgeous!

Saturday morning we traveled down to Tucson where the funeral would be held. Before that though, we met up with some good friend, the Terrell's who we haven't seen in a long time. Their son and Addi are the same age...he is so grown up now! It was so nice to catch up with them! We miss having them here.

Saturday night my parents had a block party in their neighborhood. There was a rock wall, a couple of jumpers, and a rockin' band (my parents).

This is a blurry far-away picture, but this is my parents performing with their band. I love that they play again (they did all of the time when we were little, and then they have again the last few years), and that my kids get to see them play once in awhile.

We spent Sunday morning with my parents before they had to go to church. The weather was perfect and the kids spent the morning playing outside. Uncle Ike played tag for a long time with the kids.

...and pulled maneuvers like this to get out of their reach...

Poor Kimber-roo wasn't feeling well all week, so she was quite fussy during this quick trip. She had a fever for a few days, which then resulted in roseola (thanks for the diagnosis, Dad) and a new bottom tooth. You can tell her eyes are glassy here in this picture. I don't like when my kids are sick, but it is nice when they get sick in Mesa because I don't have to take them to the doctor!
