Convention 2019

Our June was really crazy. We had something church related every week/weekend, and there was 5 of them! In between going to Cliffs for the Youth's temple trip, Wes helped with the MTC camp up at the ranch. We left directly from there to Albuquerque for the annual soccer convention, which conveniently butted right up to the NMMHA convention. We've been bringing the kids to this convention for years now. Wes goes to meetings, we swim and shop and join in for meals.

My kids wear play/ranch clothes 99% of the time, so finding things they can wear to a work convention is always a struggle
Part of the soccer convention meant we got tickets to the United soccer game, Albuquerque's professional team. The older kids really enjoyed it, Morgan not so much.

We stayed one night in Albuquerque where the soccer convention was held. The kids and I swam while Wes was in meetings, but Kamryn and Jax got to do down and meet a couple of United players who came to the hotel.

We switched hotels Sunday evening to the Sandia resort and casino where the NMMHA convention is held. We were there for two nights and a day

Try keeping 6 kids quiet during business lunches and dinners! They are actually pretty good, but the one dinner with the annual awards is pretty late and long, and they are always super tired after swimming all day.

This year Marshall and Thelma were presented with a Lifetime Achievement award which was really cool. Marshall gave a little speech.

Our kids were also given an award, I can't remember what it was called. But each of their names was called, and they went up to the front in front of a whole ballroom full of people and received a journal with their names on it. It was a really nice gesture from the board who has always supported us in bringing our kids.
