Disneyland-first 2 days

We spent Monday and Tuesday at Disneyland and California Adventures. We were really surprised by how hot it was (90's all week!) and by how crowded it was. It seemed to get busier as the week went on which was surprising to us as well. The parks were all decked out for Halloween so that was really fun. For the most part,Morgan did ok. She took a nap in the stroller every afternoon which was nice.  But most of the rides and things the older kids wanted to do were not things she was interested in, so there was a lot of juggling her around while the other took the older kids.

Morgan's favorite rides were Finding Nemo Submarines, and It's a Small World (consequently, those were everyone else's least favorite).

Each day I dressed the kids in the same color of shirt so that it was easier to count them. It actually really helped! Purple day

Kimber just so happened to be 40" which is the magical height for most of the big rides. I'm so glad she was tall enough to hang with the big kids or she would have felt so left out. She didn't scream once-on any ride, even Tower of Terror and Space Mountain.

We spent most of Tuesday at California Adventures (green day).

So we spent a lot of time running around with Camie and her family, and then a lot of time trying to do rides the whole crew could do like the Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean. We used the wheelchair/handicap card  to our advantage when we could.

We had told the kids months previous to our trip that they would need to bring their own money for souvenirs (the older 3 kids), and as we started buying them snacks inside the parks we decided they should use their own money for that too. Jaxson ate his weight in treats/snacks.

That night we went to the World of  Color show and it was pretty impressive as well. We stayed at the parks all day every day, because it didn't feel worth it to take the time to go back to the hotel. It made for some cranky kids (read: Morgan). Every one else did really great over the course of the week despite getting little sleep and walking miles and miles.
