Labor Day 2019

Labor Day is always a welcome weekend off, after a few weeks of school and soccer under our belts. We've had a really dry (untypical) monsoon season, but this weekend the heavens opened a couple of times and dumped on us. There is no better place to be during a monsoon storm than up in the mountains!

Luke and Shawnie and kids and Meadow and Milo came to camp with us for the weekend. Somehow I couldn't find any pictures of Meadow and Milo. Our kids were in heaven playing with cousins and friends all weekend. Jaxson and Wes had a deacons campout Friday night but joined us Saturday afternoon.

One night after the rain we saw some salamanders (eww!) around the campfire. Except is was so dark I didn't really notice it was almost on me, until someone else spotted it.

Little girls at a little table. The kids had fun sleeping in the 'girl' tents and 'boy' tents.

Luke and Shawnie took off early Monday morning to beat the traffic. We spent the day branding. Brother Owens came to help again this year, and brought some of his family too. We had lots of help and it went pretty fast.

Jaxson had a buddy with him that day. After branding/castrating they tried to rope the little calves for awhile.

Can you see Kamryn up in that tree? She has always been my climber.

Finley brought a couple of dirt bikes and the kids loved taking turns riding it.

The best view!
