Meet Charlie

In September some of our friends showed up to a soccer game with a couple of stray kittens they had been taking care of. The girls were dying over how cute they were (Wes was with them, and I was not) and so Wes said they could keep one. They kept Charlie, and Addi was in heaven. She has always loved cats.

Addi likes to hold him like a baby and take him for drives :). They also like taking him on walks, and Morgan loves to lay in the chair with him. Charlie and Gus also really got along...I guess had mellowed out in that regard because he has a history of chasing cats up trees! In fact, the night we brought Charlie home, we went out there to introduce them and we had to literally put Gus right in front of Charlie for him to even notice there was a cat around, and even then he didn't react.

While we were at Great Wolf Lodge it was supposed to get really cold here, so we asked some friends of ours to take care of Charlie. The first day we were gone she texted me saying he had gotten out and been attacked. After sending pictures and us talking the details through with her, we decided he would probably be fine.

He had a few deep scrapes that healed pretty quickly, but his front right leg was seriously damaged. It didn't seem to hurt him when we moved it for him, but he wouldn't put weight on it either. Months later and he is finally starting to use it again.

He likes to escape the yard and get onto the roof...this was one night after I had been gone and was pulling into the garage.
