Nana and Papa come home!

All of Wes's family came to town in anticipation of Nana and Papa coming home from their mission on August 14th. They were scheduled to come in at 7:00pm at the Albuquerque airport. We took the kids out of school early that day and headed to Albuquerque to kill some time before heading to the airport. We had made "Welcome Home" banners for the kids to hold as they came out of the security area.

One of their flights ended up being delayed and we needed to kill a few more hours, so we found "It'z Family Fun" center, which is kind of like Amazing Jakes. The kids had a blast playing their for hours with their cousins. (All of the pictures were crazy blurry because it is so dark in there).
We eventually headed to the airport around 9:30 and set up a movie for the kids to watch while we waited.

And at long last, they came out! I have a really sweet video of them coming out of the gate and hugging everyone, but I am inadequate when it comes to posting videos! Kimber was a little unsure of Papa at first, but it didn't take long for her to warm up to them.

All 13 of the grandkids, waiting for the claims form on the lost luggage to be filled out

We didn't end up getting into Gallup until close to 2 in the morning, and then we had soccer games starting at 8 the next morning. We spent the rest of the day hanging out with family. Here Papa is showing pictures to the grandkids.
