Labor Day Camping

I think Gus loves when we go camping because he ends up stealing so much people food.

We camped up at the ranch over Labor Day weekend with a couple of families. Lindsey and her gang also came up and stayed at the house.

One day most of the adults and the older kids went repelling. Hallie was really sad she didn't fit into the kid harness, so we had her start off a round of hide-and-go-sneak and that made her feel a little better. (Just one of the down sides to be small...)

My friend Yoni brought up some yummy white chocolate popcorn that got demolished by these boys (you better believe I was not sticking my hand into the bowl after these dirty boys!)

Early morning by the campfire

Hallie and her good friend Brielle got matching braids one day (also, Hallie is 6 months older than Brielle...this is how much shorter she is than most of her friends)

The wildflowers were pretty, but not nearly as gorgeous as last summer

The little girls were trying to make a swimming pool
I'm not sure what he was doing, but the kids spent a lot of time climbing above the green shed and shaking down as many acorns as they could

Hallie had a project about seeds due after Labor Day, so here she was trying to make wheat flour from a weed that looks like wheat

And this little munchkin climbed up and down the stairs, and fell a few times too

Monday was the start of Wes's hunt, but in between the early morning and evening hunt, we squeezed in a short razor ride
