Trip to Provo

Wes's Grandpa, Marvin Jones passed away in the middle of May. It was a hectic time with Wes's dad also back in the hospital and his mom in Arizona taking care of his sister and her health problems. The funeral was in Provo, so we made the drive up there, along with my mother and father in law who had just gotten out of  the hospital.  After the luncheon we booked it to get home before too late. It was the kids last week of school and they had all sorts of things going on we were trying to get them home in time for. A couple of days later Wes went down to Virden for the burial while I stayed home with the kids. It was a long weekend in terms of travel, but also very uplifting to be around so many family members we don't get to see often.
Morgan was going through a recent bout of temper tantrums and we weren't sure how she would do, so we put her new carseat in and that helped a bunch. She only cried for about an hour of the drive, when apparently we were too loud for her.
We took the kids swimming in the hotel pool. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working, and the water was ice cold. Wes bet Kamryn and Jaxson to get all the way in (that's on a video I didn't post).

The hotel we stayed in was really nice and we had a great view of the mountains, and could even see a sliver of the new Provo City Center temple.

This girl was tired and cranky allll weekend. Too much on the go, and not enough naps for an 18 month old.

Sunday we got to meet up with Meagan's family before we went to the viewing. We were so glad we got to spend a couple of hours with them!

The funeral was Monday morning (we got doughnuts on the way there...unfortunately this was my only picture of the day). It was a really great funeral, where we got to learn a bunch about Grandpa Jones and his life. I really appreciate his example and his testimony.
