| We are in the midst of another soccer season. I never buy the pictures,
so I snapped a few before I took them to team pictures a couple of weeks
ago. |
 |
| Addi is U6, Kamryn U8, Jaxson U10, Hallie U12. |

| Team names for the year |

We have practices 4 days a week...Hallie and Jaxson on Mondays and
Wednesdays, Kamryn and Addi on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Luckily, Hallie
and Jax practice at the same place (but different times), and Kamryn and
Addi practice at the same time and same field.
We have games every Friday night and Saturday morning. Each week is a
little different, but it seems we have the majority on Friday nights,
and then Jaxson's are always on Saturday. The girls play at Ford Canyon,
and he plays at the Sports Complex.
Hallie is in U12, and its the same field as U10, so there isn't much change. She enjoys her team, and is still loving playing. She still prefers playing defense, but her coach (who is also Jaxson's coach) is good about rotating the girls through all the positions. Her team has won all but their first game.
Most of the time, the kids run and play at games and practice...there is lots of extra space to do that. But sometimes keeping Morgan happy is difficult, and especially lately when it is getting cooler.
This is Jaxson's first year on the big field and playing positions. Each kid gets a turn during the season to play goalie. He didn't see much action that games, since his team was doing well. Jaxson usually scores a goal or two each game. He loves to play offense, and has pretty good dribbling skills, and does pretty well and navigating through other players. U10 is always a little difficult because its the first division they play positions, and it takes awhile for kids to figure it all out.
Kamryn is doing really well in U8. She has no problems keeping up with the (much) taller girls. She usually scores each game. She has the same coach she had a couple of years ago, and really has fun on that team. Wes has challenged her to a "hat trick"...apparently scoring 3 goals in a game. She's gotten 2 twice, and is so close!
Addison is playing U6, which is always hilarious to watch. Now that we are half way through the season, she is finally getting more aggressive and trying to go after the ball. She scored her first goal ever last week! I think now that she knows she is capable of scoring she will try much harder. She spent the first half of the season fixing her hair and being afraid to get in the mix.
For the most part, the kids play during each others games, and don't really watch each other. As long as they are happy, and are allowing us to watch whoever is in the game!
About another month of games to go! Soccer makes life crazy for a couple of months out of the year, and I don't especially love taking them to practices everyday, especially when I am towing around all the younger siblings, but I love watching the games and seeing the kids progress through their hard work.
