Easter 2014

For Easter this year I helped the kids make salt dough ornaments in the shape of an egg. Then I had them paint them and string them for a little decoration. They didn't turn out as cute or as Easter-y as I had envisioned,  but the kids loved making them.

A cute frame with different prints inside for the different holidays, given to me by my good friend Janae

I made all of the girls matching ruffle skirts: (and grossly over estimated how much  material it would take to make them. I have 3 yards extra! if anybody wants some...)

Making eggs

Resurrection rolls

We had Stake Conference Easter Sunday and I sang in the choir, so we had to be there at 8:30 for a last minute practice. It was quite the early morning for us! We had a little Easter egg hunt after church.

All dressed for church

(I just love this picture of Jaxson. So cute!)

After 24 attempts at a decent picture of all 5 kids together, the first one was the best

Most looked like this

It had rained, so we hunted indoors

It was a great Easter. Stake Conference was really great. Our choir director is from Hawaii and she brought us all beautiful leis to wear while we sang. Easter has been my favorite holiday for a long time....it used to be because of the competitive Easter egg hunt we had as kids/teenagers....but I love it even more now that I have come to appreciate the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ so much.
