Grandpa Gary's 60th

We headed to Mesa the first weekend in March to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday.

It took us half an hour to go a mile down the road to get doughnuts....the horrors of big city living:) The Phoenix marathon was going on right in my parents neighborhood, plus road construction...
After we got back from getting doughnuts my mom and I ran to Joann's to get a few things. We came home to this facial injury on Hallie. Good thing Shawnie was there to clean her up :).

My mom had a get-together at my parents house for whoever wanted to come celebrate my dad's birthday. This is the present we gave my dad- an art piece with words that remind us all of my dad. We all contributed the words and my cousin put it together.

Kamryn and Grandpa Gary at the party.

Addison at the party.

We also got to meet our newest niece, Lia, Skyler and Diana's baby. She is so cute and petite, a mini version of my brother.

Lia and me. I love holding newborns.

Grandma with my three girls.

Addison and Grandpa.

It was a fast trip, as usual.  But it was good to be there and see my family. The weather was gorgeous, and the kids played outside for a good portion of the trip. Happy Birthday, Dad!
