Random June

We got a few chicks and ducks in June. We only had a couple of casualties. They stayed in the sunroom for a few days in this container-until I couldn't handle the smell any more and then Wes took them outside to the chicken coop.

Morgan continues to love facing forward!
One day Jaxson thought up this experiment, and I was quite proud of him (well, this is after he had tried to connect pvc pipe going from his bathroom sink to the family room). He connected the pipe to the faucet outside, zigzagged the pipe all over the patio and ended with it up at the gutter, so that water would come out the gutter at the bottom.

It worked! and entertained the kids for a long time!  Hallie was gone babysitting several days in June for a family in our ward, so there was often days that Jaxson was the ring leader of the kids.

We sold our lambs and two of our goats one Saturday. It only took a couple of hours to sell them all, and the kids had a good time trying to be salespeople.

Hallie, of course, was sad to see them go. Here she is giving the goat one last hug.

Look how big the ducks got in just a few weeks!
We went to the NMMHA convention at Sandia resort in Albuquerque. This picture was taken out of our hotel window-pretty! We also took all the kids with us (they are welcome, but no one really brings young kids...there were a couple of teenagers and that's all). The kids did great, minus a couple of times I had to take Morgan out-she is a wild card for sure. We got many compliments on how well behaved they were.

I took the kids swimming a couple of times while Wes was in meetings all day. We met up with him for the meals (always sitting closest to the exit in case I needed to sneak out).

The girls got these little dolls in their Easter baskets and Morgan insisted on carrying around all three all the time. She is a good little mommy to them.

Addison and Karmyn collided one day while running through the house. Addi had a black eye for several weeks.

Long summer days...

Kamryn wanted breakfast in bed. Her birthday fell on a Sunday (Father's Day this year). Usually we do cereal on Sunday, since we have 9 am church. But she requested smoothies and toast, and that was easy enough.

This girl likes to volunteer for anything and everything, just as long as everyone around her is saying "me"!
